Inside the Music
Who Says Love isn't dangerous?

Ann Cummings, pianist

The music of Franz Liszt is notorious
for it's virtuosity, emotional theatrics,
and spiritual fortitude. Reaching into
perhaps the darkest realm of human consciousness, Franz Liszt traversed
sin, fear, insanity, and trauma in his music. Yet, instead of darkness, Liszt creates an invincible light.

Celebrating Liszt's transcendental sojourn,
Pianist Ann Cummings recreates the brilliance of Liszt in her dramatic and theatrical multi-media concert. Wearing a choreography of masks for each composition, Cummings gives a daring presentation of musical depth and excitement.

What audience members are saying....

I just loved the masks, like Venice in February!

Brian Mercer

...thank you so much for filling me and the others fortunate enough to be sitting in that concert hall with Liszt's sublime music and your amazing presence!
Caryl Corsi

Ms. Cummings is a phenomenon isn't she? What a powerhouse of athleticism and verve!
Steven Holcott

...please forgive me for not being more sociable at your concert this afternoon. At the time that the opportunity presented itself to speak...the feelings I had were too intense and too valuable to mess with.
Steve Kennedy
