Inside the Music,
there is more Music.
Typically, my concerts have been about the interpretation of classical music. Thanks to some fresh insight from that infamous father of classical music,.JS Bach, Inside the Music is now also about the Music inside the Music. This may seem ridiculously obvious, but Ann loves humor, so please stay tuned....or at least keep your pianos tuned. Inside the Music will return to the stage in 2012.
Today, as promised, begins the exploration of Inside the Music there is more music. March 21, 2012. Today marks another commemoration of Bach's birth. It's the first day of spring, a new season of growth and fresh beginnings.....what better time/place to ask the question, "What would happen if I took a masterpiece by Bach and played it backwards?" What I discovered was an amazing new perspective of TIME. No, even though I have been practicing this piece myself, I am not growing younger. the grey hair is still coming in.....but, by changing the starting point of a masterpiece, the creative options for sound have grown exponentially.....Inside the Music, there is DEFINITELY more music. My next concert will feature some of this new thinking. In the meantime...
